Sber Gamification Lab

I acted as product designer and partly game designer: I developed a social application with avatars, as well as special projects that integrated gamification into the Sber ecosystem.

Meteora

An experimental project from the lab. An app where users can create and customize their avatar's appearance. Meteora featured various social mechanics: a short video feed, chats, friend requests, and dating.

Dating

We added a dating mechanic with familiar swipes and likes to the app. To drive monetization, we limited the number of likes: when hearts ran out, users were offered a subscription.

We also implemented a gift system using in-app currency, giving users more ways to show interest.

This approach improved engagement and increased ARPPU through subscriptions, while gifts became an additional revenue source.

Short Video Feed

In the photo booth section, users could set up filters, masks, add lip-sync animations, music, and publish videos — essentially a TikTok or Reels analogue, but with avatars.

This mechanic boosted engagement: users returned to the app more often, shared videos with friends, and brought in new users.

We created an avatar constructor that saves time and resources for teams creating creative materials using branded Sber avatars

Mobile Game "Sber Magnate"

Developed a game concept that introduces users to Sber ecosystem products and promotes the use of Spassibo bonuses, stimulating loyalty and engagement with Ecosystem products

Special Project "Prime Mobile"

The goal was to increase demand for Prime subscription and engage users to try a trial period. To showcase the subscription benefits and capabilities of the included services
